Washington "Fall Colors" Run 10/22

For the third year in a row, I am pleased to announce the "Fall Colors Run" to be held by WATTORA and YotaTech.

This event is a family oriented, casual drive along the forest service roads of Greenwater, with the focus on enjoying the fall colors. Some years we don't even need four-wheel drive, other years we are in a foot of snow, so be prepared for anything that fall weather in the mountains of Washinton might throw at you. Frequent stops for leaf fights, throwing snowballs or taking pictures have been the norm on past trips. Come prepared to spend as much time out of the rig as in it.

The following roads are possible destinations, 72,73,74,75, depending upon the conditions. This run is suitable for stock 4x4's and first time drivers.

Saturday - 10/22/2005

He's already experienced the ride quality of my truck, so I promised I would keep it under 80 MPH so he didn't have to leave grip marks in the door handle

Cool Yes..

Greenwater is beautiful any time of year...especially in the fall. We just might have a little snow up there by then, too.
My red '84 will be there...

Angry Yeah, well...

...that stupid seagull was darned lucky we were in town where I couldn't properly introduce him to Smith & Wesson, two of my good friends

He he he...actually, that would have been pretty funny, if it was someone else's truck!

(note to self...don't park under the light poles in the Enumclaw Safeway parking lot...)

Over the next week, the snow level is going to be periodically dropping down to altitudes we will be seeing on the Fall Colors run.

Be prepared! It's going to stay low for longer and longer periods between now and the run

Hey, i think i'm in.
Gotta ask a favor from everyone.
My runner is a bit tired and on some of the steep grades i have to take my time going up. So i will be slow everyone down. If this will be a problem let me know and i will catch you guys another time.
Maybe i can get a push from Rob

I am sure that unless you are talking "hands and knees" slow, or "OMG, this small hill is going to take most of the morning" slow, or "people walking along side are passing me" slow, everything will be all right. We are going for the views, not the ground covered.

But, if your Runner is so slow that it's more liability than transportation, you might want to get that looked at...

I'm not in any hurry up there, Todd. Maybe you and I can bring up the rear.
Whatever you do...just don't get in front of Rob
Do you have a CB in your rig?

Does anyone remember what time we got done last year? I wanna say it was like 4pm. I'm not able to get that night off so I'm not sure I'll be able to go yet or not. If I can get off at my normal time Friday (1am), get at least a little sleep before we have to leave, and then be back by 5pm for work I will go. I'm still hoping I can go. I had a really good time last year.
