some LA area offroading this sat
hey guys. l33t35t 4runner is coming up here to santa clarita for some wheelin, and just thought i'd extend the invitation to you guys. really, this is nothing major, not like a big formal trip, just hanging out, going around the local stuff. i'm in canyon country, kinda near magic mountain. so i guess if you're in the valley or nearby, you might want to check it out. if you check out the local/stonecrest area the trails section in my site, that's it.
NEXT WEEK tho, casey and i are working on a real trip. hungry valley. so stay tuned for that.

yeah we kept it pretty moderate today, but still had some challenges and had a lot of fun. when i was goin up that loop thing, it looked like nothing from far away but at the top the slope gets pretty steep and narrow so i couldn't quite make it. in the picture of me on there i don't look like i'm a much of an angle, but seriously it was leaning bad. that was the most scared i've ever been in an off road situation, but i managed to keep inching back and forth till i got more stable then just took the easy way out down throuh the middle.
but yeah jason, you got some rad shots. that was cool. and i was impressed by your rig, but i guess it's the driver that should get the credit huh you made it up some crazy stuff
and i seemed to have earned my self a jumping rig legend so i got a little friendly peer pressure do it again. and you know me, i'm not one to let my fans down haha so i jumped again. but seriously i know this is hard on my truck, so i toned this one down from last time. there's a pic on jason's site. i'll get em up on mine soon.
and thanks bud.

Hmmm...
Looks like you had great weather and clear roads, which is what it’s all about.
The trail busting part is not too cool tho’. Gives the Sierra club types more ammo for trail closures. But if you truly got yourself up someplace you could not get down…well, I’d probably do the same (and learn from it).
