The discovery should do fine out there. None of the stuff we will be doing should mess up your rock rails. Come out and play!

How far is it on the freeway past alpine? My angry driveshaft doesn't really like freeway speeds right now. I'm too indecisive to just replace it and be done with it

This may help some of you out a bit. It shows us starting at the Carl's Jr in Alpine and heading east on the I-8 to the Buckman Springs Rd Exit. Along the way there is the Pine Valley exit. We will get off at Pine Valley to get Park Passes if anyone needs one. It is not that expensive to just get a year pass.
Then we will get back on the 8E and finish to Buckman Springs Exit. Should take us no longer than 30 mins to do this even with Marc with us. J/K
This site is the Cleveland Nat Forest Site for the pass costs:

You gotta come out and play Steve.

I'm pretty sure i'll be there. Don't forget I'll be driving like a turtle as well Since I won't need to stop for a pass, I may just keep on truckin' and meet you at the Buckman exit depending on how slow I seem. I do however have a 2nd pass if anyone wants to save a couple bucks
Edit: after checking out the link above I've decided to rent out my second pass for $4.50.
Just kidding
