ARIZONA - Sonoran Steel 4WD Trip: Reno Pass, January 7, 2006
We have another 4WD trip planned for January 7, 2006 to run the Reno Pass Trail. We will meet at the Arby’s Parking lot at Shea Boulevard and the Beeline Highway (AZ87) again. Meeting time is 8:30am, pull out is 9:00am. The trail is up the Beeline (87) in between Sunflower and Pumpkin Center.
If anyone has any questions feel free to e-mail me. The trail is listed in the Arizona Well’s book as well as Arizona Backroad Adventures. Any 4WD vehicle should be fine, a newer Tacoma Pre-Runner with a rear locker and the 3.4 motor should be fine as well. Anyone that needs a strap or a winch will be taken care of.
Hope to see you on the run.

I'm fairly certain I'll be available. Just found out (errr...."remembered") that the father-in-law will be in town that weekend. I think he'd be game to ride along, though. Steve, any concerns about rolling in the one section one online map had marked as a 5.0? I don't have any trail books -- guess I should pick one up, huh?

I'd love to go, this has been on my list of trails to try for awhile. Hopefully my truck is still home and running when I get back to town later this week!

I'm a "fer sure" now. We'll be out there around 8:30. Steve, any chance the truss is a quick bolt up operation and we could do it in the parking lot before the run?

Nope, the truss needs 4: 3/8" holes drilled and I'm building those next week. This week I have to finish the two 3rd Gen rear bumpers.
