Intro
Kristopher Erik Hoopes
I have three names an' I like to use them...
Sold the Runner - no traded it when I thought we were going to have our 4th child... miscarry changed that. Got my 88 X-cab out of the deal though. Now looking for a 86-88 Turbo Runner for my wife...
Live about 1 hour South of Oklahoma City. I don't have any trails that I know of. My 4 Wheelin has all been out in some field for work and the yotas are tops. All the fullsize trucks I ever had just sunk in the mud.
We all like to Camp. We usually come to Branson in October, planning on hitting Taneycomo trout Nov 1st..
Would enjoy a good trial ride for a stock rig.... Just painted it though so no smash ups..
UPDATE:
I have located a 1987 Turbo 4 Runner Auto SR5 that needs some engine work but the price is right. I will be going to pick it up next Saturday, Oct. 18th. I'll keep you updated on the purchase process.
Here are some rough photos- its black.

Maybe I'll stop in and see it while we go to Branson, I have to pickup a receiver hitch from a guy in Springfield anyway. Do you like to eat a Hemmingways?

Name: Jeff Kennett
Location: Currently undecided but it will be somewhere in NWA.
Rig: 97 4Runner 4WD Limited with E-Locker.
Type of Wheeling: Mostly new so i'll go with "nothing really crazy."
Camping most likely.
Wheelin spots: The 4R is fairly new to me and I have not had the chance to get out and about with it yet. With my old Range Rover I would drive go just about all over the section of National Forest around Siloam Springs.
My story:
Somewhat new to the off-road world. Around June 07 I go the afore mentioned Rangie. It was a cheap peice of hud but I've had good times with it. I used to work at the FD in Siloam. Did that for 5.5 years and then left for the big money FF gig in Iraq for a year starting in August 07. Got back August 08 spent some money on the Rangie and tooled around Berryville for a month and then went sailing in Mexico for 3 months. When I got back from that I tries to go wheeling around Berryville some more but the Rangie decided it didn't want to cooperate any more. I made the decision to sell it and i bought the 4Runner. Me and the 4Runner are currently in FL for Umpire School but in about a week we'll be back and ready to drop a few dimes on some upgrades and wheeling so please get ahold of me if you want to show a new guy some of the ropes or share some good intel on upgrades and such. My email is bassviking)at(yahoo)dot(com Hit me up anytime. I got no job and I ain't got "____" to do.

Welcome Chris! Good news, we are going to start having monthly meet and greets in the area... I'll let everyone know when/where!
Brian, nice to meet ya as well, but heads up this is a Ozarks section. However if you'd like to come down and wheel with us, the more the merrier.

Rig(s): 96 4Runner m/t lifted n stuff, 99 4Runner Highlander m/t locked-both daily drivers
Type of Wheeling: Trails, so far Tomichi Creek and Mineral creek (both CO) are favorites
Camping/Motel: CAMPING! With nobody continuously farting and drunkenly jabbering all night and no naked guys wandering around wondering what happened to them or the sound of someone puking their guts out early in the morning- then the unzip of the tent door...
Ok, camping but not around other people.

Well My intro time...
Lee O'Daniel
26 Divorced(best move ever) 2 kids(sucks not seeing them all the time)
Broken Arrow, OK
IT Support for AGC Manufacturing in BA.
Minnesota Army National Guard 25B IT Specialist.
Before my IT job I ran a Goodyear Tire store for 5 years.
I love to wrench and am mainly into Motorcycles(race Supermoto, Ride street)
This is my second Yota.
1st: 1989 4Runner, BJ Spacers, 2in Blocks, Wheel Spacers, All Pro Rear Bumper, Smitty built front that was narrowed. Cut fenders, Massaged firewalls(thanks you 10lb sledge), and 35/12.50r15 BFG MT's with some rub.
Manual hub swap from Auto. 22RE 5speed with stock 4.10s was sold
2nd is my current one: 1991 4Runner SAS 3.0 auto. 35/1250r15 Pro Comp Xtreme MT's(soon to be on 15x12's). I traded it for my old 2wd 1996 Dodge EXT Cab SWB Straight across. I have to redo brake lines because the kid added tranny fluid to the brake system... well when I went to tear into that I realized how half assed the SAS was so now i am going through the Whole front end and getting rid of all unnecessary brackets that are still there. installing shock hoops all new front parts. still have to buy a High Steer kit for it and the likes. I am picking up a set of Downey Headers this weekend and gonna mod my IFS driveshaft to make it work for now. This truck is set-up like i wanted to do my 89 so I am stoked.
In the future the rear 4 link will possibly go away(in favor of 63" chevy springs) or become triangulated(what my little bro wants me to do).
My goal for this truck is mainly as a toy, but i really want to keep it drivable. sounds hard but I am up for the challenge. I will be looking to do a few wheeling trips with some of you Ozark guys so if you know any local forums that are active let me know and I will sign up.
And now for a few pics
old 4Runner (in some MN snow after putting on 35's)
and the new one the day it came home....
