Cory's New 4Runner (2nd time)
#41
2wd? are you serious? Let's see... Take everything that'd bad about 4Runners, subtract everything that's good about them, and you're left with a 2wd 4Runner (ok.... maybe you're left with a 2wd Jeep, but you get the point).
So taking that as a truth, what would a person be like if they took a 2wd 4Runner, added a couple hundred pounds of weight to it, and drove it around? Is that any different than buying a 4wd if you're not going to use it? I mean really, for the DD aspect, a Civic would be so much better. And you know how much I love Civics.
But it's too late now... you bought a 4wd 4Runner. So the only way to save face and not look stupid is to go wheel it So as your friend... I'll come up this weekend to keep you company in case you get stuck. Wouldn't want the gold emblems to spend the night in the forest, a raccoon may steal them.

I just wanted to post an update.... So I've been driving this thing a lot and still love it. Also, gas mileage is better than I thought Id get. I've been averaging 17.2 in town and 20+ on the highway. I can live with that.

That's awsome Corey I love my 3rd gen as well. I really haven't found anything that I don't like about it at least not that I can think of off the top of my head.

Well I just sold my 98 Runner... got 150 bucks less than what i paid for it when i bought it last Feb. Now that its gone, I'd like to introduce everyone to my new daily driver. I know its not a toyota, but its nice.
And for those who were wondering its a 2002:

I really like it. Its got some little problems, but its easily worth what I paid for it and then some. Drives great and pulls hard.
You got a 12pack for it Hans. I'm really happy with it. My only complaint is getting in and out of it kinda sucks, but its a Z06, you live with it.
