I am just curious as to which type of bulbs you all use. Doesn't matter for what rig or year. Please post up the wattage as well.

I am using GE Nighthawks right now, but am thinking about going to a higher wattage...maybe Hoen bulbs?

I use Silverstars in the headlamps and Hella Optilux yellow bulbs in the fogs.

i just use OEM replacements from autozone or pepboys. i figure i can spend the money id save from not upgrading my lights on other more useful stuff to me

I have the Sylvania H6054XV Xtravisions from AutoZone. Can't really tell a difference over stock though lol.

I use some bulbs I got off of JCwhitney.com

They are 80/100 watt "extra white" bulbs, not blue at all. Had to upgrade the harness to run them since they are actually 80/100 watts

I cant remember what brand mine where. I go them off eBay Only thing i could read on the package was 140 watt. Lights work great with a nice bluish tint.

Pretty happy with some sylvania halogens I found at wallyworld. I dont reallty need brighter for now.

I put other, right now I have some Hella 80w/100w H4 bulbs in. they didn't seem much brighter than stock, but after about a week of burn in, they seem much brighter.

I run some generic halogen H4s from JC Whitney as well, 55/100w in a Hella housing with a relayed wire harness:

I don't like white/blueish lighting (must be the only one) so I run Hella Yellowstars all-around; 55W H4 in the headlights and 55W H3 in fogs.

I just put on a set of Lightforce 170's with combo yellow filter...now everything is more or less color matched!

Ok, Silverstar seems to be a good choice based on this pole.

However there are 7 different versions available. Apparently they all are 45/65watts. Which means no special wiring/fuse requirements.

Near as I can tell the differences between them are whiteness/blueness, longevity, brightness and price.

So how to choose, he asked rhetorically.

also check out www.hoen-usa.com...they have some blinging bulbs. I have heard that they have the most useful lighting as well.

i had properly shielded xenons in mine for a little while, but ended up selling them to another board member. i liked those alot, but didnt want to take the chance of dipping the nose too deep and frying them, so i run whatever it came with when I bought it. they are yellow and light up the road kinda in front of me.

i like my GE nighthawks...i had the silverstars and well wasnt pleased with the results in snow/rain...on ideal dark perfect nights they were great, esp. high beams, but other than that i found they drowned out...the GE's are performing better in my opinion.

Hoen for me. Different kind of light (color) for sure. They look really good but they take some getting used to. I do like them though. Only other bulbs i would run are Silverstars. I really would like to put a bi-xenon conversion in though. Its not super high on the priority list though, so maybe someday.

The Hoens i run are the xenonmatch plus H4's 80/100w. I have the stock wiring harness except for a simple plug in between the factory plug and bulb. This is just thicker gauge wiring and a better plug to prevent melting. I have been thinking about upgrading the complete harness so i checked voltages today. 14.35vdc at battery. 14.01vdc at bulb on low beams. 13.91vdc at bulb on high beams. Pretty good. No harness needed for me.

I also have them in the fogs. H3 xenon match, stock wattage. I like the fogs a lot.
