Question No Altenator light

I have 1992 22-re 2wd that shows no charge light with the key on. I have checked all fuse's and they seem to be good. I dont really think that the charge light bulb is burnt. The battery has always held a good charge but i am woundering if this has to do with the internal regulator. any info about this is useful thanks so much!

So is it not starting...? not holding a charge...what..?
Or just not getting the brake/batt light on key turn?

the charge light, the brake light is the sensor inside the resivor. Anyways it never has come on with the ignition swith turned to run position so i was thinkin that mabey the circut inside the altenator was bad. also it seems that the motor takes about 10 seconds to reach the right rpms during cold start warm up and then is very sluggish during warm starts. I think i should get the altenator tested to see if its giving a good voltage output, but will that correct my charge light problem? no light at all......... oh by the way my truck is a 1992 2.4 litre 22-re......if that helps any.....

BTW: If your alternator was bad: your Battery AND Brake Light would come on with the truck started.
Although it would not be a bad measure to have you battery and alternator tested.
When you say its taking longer then normal to start, well, sounds to me like the starter (Contacts) are going out (search "4Crawler cheap tricks + Starter")...

could it be the starter? but im thinkin mabey a bad ground some where. starter cranks good but would that still cause the motor to lack on start up? because when the motor is cold it cranks great but it seems when the motor is warm it sounds like a missfire then returns to normal rpm's. bad electrical or even fuel?
