Mouse or Mice In My Blower
I new one had been in there but didn't think the lil buggers were still in the vents.
How can I get them out safely?
I really don't want to get bit by some diaese carrying rodent.

put peanut butter on a glue trap on the floor.
Close up the windows.
Wait overnight (they start moving at dusk and dawn)
remove mess.
CLEAN the vents - 10% bleach solution.
CDC has recomendations for a filter (N-100) - yer standard Organic Vapro filter (aka repirator) seems to meet it. Even then.... they dont know for sure either.

I got a 103 fever the week after I cleaned out the nest in mine.
Not sure if it was related or not.
Not fun either...
--- oh yeah
Add mesh screen to the cowl intake vent - thats how they are gettign in...
It wont STOP them. (cant seal the vent from easily)
But it should slow down re-investations.
Keep the vent set to RECIRC at night.
Every night.

Shop Vac with a non HEPA bad just flows the virus material (dried mouse poopies) into the air where you can breathe it easier....
Soak the nesting material down in a 10% bleach solution first.
Then remove by hand with gloved hands.
Soak remaining material in 10 soln.
Shop Vac with a HEPA bag and WEAR yer repirator.
Toss HEPA bag and spray down vac with 10% soln.
Hanta Virus can kill

I was just thinking about throwing the blower motor out since I don't really need it right now (truck isn't winter driven).
I think that would be the easist way.
