I tried a 100/130W bulb
. . . 04 Thundra and it is too much wattage for the reflector and turned it an off color from the shiny chrome it usually is just above and behind the bulb. I had no problems with the 80/100 so I decided to step it up, but I've gone back to the 80/100W because it didn't affect the reflector at all, so don't go with the 100/130Watter, it was nice and bright but too much heat for the reflector to handle, FWIW.

It's come up before a few hundred times as well.
The additional heat also commonly melts the bulb holder and wiring harness just behind the lights.
The additonal current draw also commonly melts the headlight harness.
Not to mention those superbright bulbs are illegal. They are illegal because they blind oncoming motorists. I hate that. It's rude.
I feel better now.

I've had the 80/100W in and they have been working fantastically! I will soon be getting a higher wattage bulb, hopefully in yellow/amber for my factory foglights, does anyone know what the stock wattage is for them?, as I've seen 55W and 80W for sale in the 9006 size.
