hahahha! I like....

this is a dangerous road though, I'm a big DIY fan.... from the moment I saw the first vacuum table, I want to build one and start making cool plastic stuff... just what I need is more crap; I could make a new center console for my 4runner too..... redesign my dash.... oh jeezus....

that is a sweet idea with doing the internals that way, thanks again Shaeff!

hey man here is a link to some clear housings. The only downside is they are in the uk... if you e-mail them you can request a bigger box to ship to ensure it doesn't get damaged.
here is the link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LHD-Crystal-He...ht_3085wt_1199

the fluted headlight lenses were the only thing holding me back from doing an hid retrofit, but im pretty surprised how well they turned out for you. They look real good. I still think im gonna wait until i get these clear housings though...
let me know if you ever find that link on ebay. are the ones in this post similar to the ones you found on autopal?

Thanks Robatt!

those look like they're a little outta my budget right now but they look similar to the other ones I saw on Autopal/Ebay or whatever. Hard to tell though... I think they are "200mm" housings, at least that's what I gathered. Will have to find that thread....

The stock lenses really do work amazing, no complaints at all especially compared to the garbage output I was dealing with and still retain a decent cutoff. It CAN be done!! hahaha

just got knee surgery, been slackin' on YT lately....

Gotta go out and find out why my hi-beams stopped working on my runner; guessing it's a fuse or relay... (hoping anyway...) lights still work, just no hi beam so the solenoids are not getting power somehow...

Also, just made an upgrade wiring harness for my 2000 taco and I was blown away with the difference. I put some Silvannia Ultra-somethings ($45 at Autozone) and was pretty amazed at the extra output over standard bulbs (even though they won't last long) but with those plus the harness, it gives the HID's some competition!! I used 10g wire to every terminal on the lamps and they are getting every bit of juice!

If I had done the harness before I went retrofit, I might have reconsidered as it's much cheaper and easier, and yes it's not as bright as HID's but it certainly is more than needed and really is amazing just upgrading the wiring... gotta get some Osram Nightbreaker's to put in there when my SS ultra's burn out.

the good thing about my harness is that it's 100% reversible if I lose a relay or whatever, I just cut a ziptie and plug in the stock connectors again and good to go.
