95 4Runner Alarm problems
Hi all,
My daughter's 95 4Runner is having trouble with the alarm. It is an aftermarket ELV777K type. The batteries are new and the LED lights as the button is pressed. But... it will not unlock the vehicle or if the key is used to unlock the door the alarm will not allow the vehicle to start.
Is there a way to remove the alarm or troubleshoot the issues here?

Likewise Brian,
Sadly, the alarm was on the truck when it was purchased used from an owner without the alarm info. I will do some online looking, but so far know only that the ELV777K is a type of alarm FOB and not a specific manufacturer. I will know more once I see it. Right now I am operating only on info obtained over the phone...
Hope all is well with you and the family. BTW the suspension stuff now has about 60K miles on it and it could not work better. Two weeks ago we were tooling north of Mammoth around Bodie Ghost Town, checking out the fall color...

Once you find out the manufacturer, should be on the brain and/or the fob, you should be able to find a manual online.
All is well w/ the wabbits and the Mrs. I had forgotten that you had a lot of my old 3rd gen suspension stuff. Glad it is working out for you. Hope you aren't a stranger around here so much.
Good luck. Let me know if you need something as my website has changed just a tad.
