wiring IPF fogs for 4ht gen ARB bumper
I've searched and couldn't find anything specific to this topic.
Has anyone wired the IPF driving lights <edit from fogs> for the 4th gen ARB Bumper?
They come with a wiring loom and "special, exclusive to ARB relay". I've got OE driving lights, so I would think I could tap right into the existing wiring, which has a fuse and relay in the circuit. At the same time the instructions indicate you have to use there "special" relay with these IPF driving lights. Sounds like the old "OE parts will ensure your toyota runs at top quality for the life of your vehicle" bs line.
Thoughts??

It is the exact same setup I bet as I have.
Right down to the Tacoma switch.
I have the IPF fogs in the ARB bumper, and the relay kit from ARB/IPF.
I used this diagram to wire mine.

You can also use this Hella diagram which I went by.
You will need the switch and 4 green wires when you can get get from members strap22 and trdpartsd4u.
They know the setup you will need to get.
I did not use the supplied IPF switch, the Toyota one is far better.
Here is the kit you will need from them.

Thank you. i'm kinda bummed i can't use the steering column switch anymore for them... maybe i could use that to control the driving lights I'll hook up when I find them.
I just have a hard time believing the relay is all that special, since they are not exactly complex pieces of electrical engineering.

I do not know all that much about relays, but I really thought the IPF kit was nice.
I am going to pick up the exact same loom kit from ARB locally.
I already have an extra switch and the 4 green wires, I will use it to hookup some future lights on the bumper.

As an update: the answer is yes, on a 4th Gen Runner you can hook the IPF driving lights directly to the old wiring. They will work just like the factory ones did. (yeah i should have known that one without asking.)
On the other hand, using the wiring loom that comes with them allows you the advantage of having them come on when you use your running lights (check the fog light setup instructions.) Which I'll probably do this eventually (once i get my hands on the switch Corey pointed me to) and then use the OEM wiring steering column switch for the Hella 4000 compact driving lights I have. That way it's easy off when there's another car coming.
Cheers, it's been a long weekend.

I had to modify the mod a little for my 4th gen SR5 (w/o daytime running lights) mainly it was the opposite prong on the relay that needed to be bent. and I had to run the wire out of the box and tap into the green wire on the side of the marker light wiring harness. But it works great.
