i think its all been mentioned, but ill throw my opinion in. yea, there slow, they struggle to go up hills, but itll get up it. they ride like a goat wagon, but theyll getcha there. you can drive with a severely leaking headgasket for 7 months, and the rings rust so bad tehy crumble off the pistons when you pull em out(i did). its a toyota, read my sig, theyll take a lickin and keep on tickin

Nichts zu Danken (it was nothing) IDIOM. I never really considered doing my timing chain, it makes no noise. so its kinda outa sight outa mind. I did my cyl head last year, I prob should have done chain too. Didn't have extra money from what I remember.

All i Can say is my Friend Jake has a 22RE in his '86 4Runner, with over 330,000mi on the original Engine and the Original Transmission that says reliability, and he is still trying to run that motor into the ground. Me I wish I had that Engine, but I have a 3.0, Its been pretty good so far, I guess I'll see what happens
