I got 21-23 in my 22re and I get about 19-20 in my 22r. Fuel costs is based on number of miles driven and mpg

i put my foot to the floor and burn that gas!!

well not really, gas is about 3.45 a gallon up here in south jersey, its been hovering there for a few weeks now. before all this it was always 3.15/gallon.

but instead of driving less, ive been working alot more with my small engines to make more money to afford this gas. i figured i wouldnt even bother asking for a raise/more hours at the compressor shop, so ive just been bringin in more small engines, and the good part is i work at home and i work as my own manager at my own pace. ive also been selling alot of stuff thats been sitting around that i havnt used.

I was just teasing, but I wish the bay area worked like that. Unfortunately all work local has dried up, so it's 70+ mile commutes these days. What can you do... To be honest I don't mind the paying for the gas, I hate stacking miles on my truck.

Cool I'd make a heat shield for that expansion chamber to keep from burning a leg LOL.

I average about 225 m a day. I get paid 51 cents a mile. It's funny I'm the only one with a smile on my face at the gas pump. I search for the cheapest I can find though. I filled up in Gilroy for 3.85 today. the arco was 3.81 but they dont take amex. I aired my back tires up to 42 and the fronts are at 39. I had more in but it was rough and didn't help that much. This feels better and gets the best mpg.

i went and bought a 97 civic for $600. it gets ~28mpg vs. 13mpg my 4Runner was getting.

i haven't calculated the exact date the car will have paid for itself, but it's just a matter of time.

it's finally starting to warm up enough to start riding in to work again. then i'll be getting ~41mpg. i rode in today.

i think it sucks that market speculation will drive the price up when politics in the middle east hits the headlines; but when actual demand takes a nose-dive because a huge chunk of Japan is in ruins, the price just stays the same.

anyone still believing that "supply and demand" determines fuel prices is deluding themselves.

I can highly recommend the Scangauge II to plug in and keep track of your mileage as well as daily gas used and cost factor. ScanGauge II has made my lead foot into a hellium filled balloon.

I love my little 2 wheel drive flat bed. I can tell I am not at the pumps as often when I drive it and if I could keep the speed down that would help even more.

But these prices, I was running late for a meeting and needed gas and didnt want to wait for a complete fill up and just put $20 in and it didnt move the needle much. After the meeting I filled it up. $20 x 3.
