#1 is your slow idle speed
#2 is your fast idle (must be on the choke to adjust)
#3 I forget, I never touched mine. I think it's to adjust when the secondary plates open but I could be wrong.
#4 do not touch, that's your idle mix screw.

what do you mean by on choke, how does one engage the choke on a truck? ( i have only had a yamaha blaster 4 wheeler that i have tooled around with for my knowledge about engines)
so if my engine has problems right when it starts cold of idling properly i would adjust the cold idle yes?
right when it starts it sort of sputters for a few seconds then if i lightly touch the gas it will stall, but if i sort of press it quick and aggresive and pull it off then it jumps up and will idle ok, but its really annoying every time i start it from cold, and sometimes it takes a few seconds for it to turn over to

it's a carb'd truck, three presses to the floor on the gas pedal start truck. If your not hitting the gas pedal to the floor prior to starting then it is what is most likely tyour problem. Pushing the pedal to the floor is what normally engages the choke, another way to manually do it is hold down the choke plate by hand and turn the throttle until you hear a click.
Time to get yourself an FSM (Factory Service Manual <<< right click save as ) and also read THIS.
