What to look for with 92 4runner Hilux 2.4l diesel
Hey guys,
I'm new to yotas and i am going to be buying a 92 hilux 2.4l diesel (the 2l engine) and was wondering if there was anything specific to look for before buying it...it is being sold for $2995...so it's cheap. I did not notice anything horribly wrong other than A oil leak...probably valve cover gasket... I just can't afford to buy it and be paying thousands on repairs...

Are you getting the 2.4 or the 2.2? The 2.4 is the gas engine and the 2.2 is the diesel. I would just say drive it like you stole it. If it breaks walk away. Your going to spend some on regular maintenance. Maybe a little more if you're in the states cause they aren't as available as the gasser. But they are cool and get great mileage
