If your concerned about lack of power after suspension and oversized tires id consider rebuilding the motor you have instead of a motor swap if its a carb motor id think about a nice cam and maybe a weber carb with a good header and exhaust . These little motors seem to respond very well to better breathing . That would probably cost a little more then the money you have saved up . You could always toss a cam and carb and good exhaust and run what you got until the motor blows then do a rebuild when its time . just my .02 either way im sure your gonna have fun
Do you think I can do one of these upgrades at a time, or do they need to be done at once?
Thanks for the help!

I would try to get it breathing better. I changed the exhaust ( cut out the cat replaced the muffler) and changed the air and fuel filters. Other than a good oil change these things seemd to put the most "cheep" bang back in my old 22r. Just my .02
