transmission question?

An R151 out of a turbo pickup. Good luck finding one though. If you can just get a hold of the bellhousing, you can also use an R150 out of a V6 truck.
Are you 2wd, or 4wd? If you're only running 2WD, a late model W58 transmission (I think 89+) out of several RWD Toyota vehicles can also be used. They switched over to using a steel sandwich plate around that time, vs the older aluminum ones. A MKIV N/A Supra W58 has triple cone synchros on all gears if you want to be really fancy. I THINK that the later IS300s also did too.
A W58 can also be modified to work with a 4wd truck with a little bit of work too.
