Are T100 t-cases chain drive?

Great site, I searched but couldn't find the info I needed

I found a 5 spd with dual cases from a T100/3.4 for sale and I was wondering if they would bolt onto my 89 4x4 3.0 truck. I searched this site and others for info and found that both trannys have the large 9 bolt pattern so I think it will work but I don't know if it's worth doing if the t-cases are chain drive...

Any insight would be thougholy appreciated.

Billy

Gear driven? I wish. I think you meant all V-6 cases are chain driven, no?

I'm trying to build/buy a duals setup and it's lame that my t-case is chain drive, just makes this process a little harder and more expensive.

It makes me wonder why Toyota chose to use chain drive.

Marlin now makes an adapter (MC10) for the early chain drive cases - will save you some cash and keep a tcase out of the landfill.
