o2 sensor connection location?
Pickup up a 90 22re 4x4 regular cab 5sp pickup a few weeks ago and i've just been going through it making everything right.. The truck runs strong, the best 22re I've ever driven, it's .20 over with some head work an rv cam and hedman header. So hear is the bad, when accelerating at part throttle I can feel that the engine isn't making power in accordance with throttle input. When it does this if I dramatically increase throttle input it's like a switch is flipped and the power comes on strong, occasionally it will fall on it's face or miss for a split second before it comes on. The header runs into nice 2.5" exhaust to a flowmaster 1 into 2 muffler with no cat. The downstream o2 sensor is there and connected to a wire(I haven't verified what it connects to yet) but the upstream o2 is not there, just a capped bung. The check engine light is on but I cant get a signal to an obd code reader it says the connection is bad, I think the truck's connector is corroded. Anyway, anyone else experience this? I can't find the connector for the upstream o2 I would love to see a photo of it's location and wiring information in case I need to re-wire it.

1. You don't check codes with a code reader.
2. You should really only have an upstream O2 sensor, unless it's a Cali model. And with your setup, it's always going to be considered upstream anyways. Since there's no cat for it to be downstream of.
3. You need the FSM to learn how to check for codes . Look in the 22R-E MFI System--Diagnostics section. Hint: a paperclip can be substituted for the SST.
4. You will also need it for many things in the future. Here it is in full http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/
5. Almost forgot...behind the driver's seat, directly below the seat belt retractor, under the carpet/floor covering.
