New tires $400+/-

96 4runner 4x4. Looking to keep stock tire size 265/70/r16, but if its a little bigger and will fit w/out a lift that is fine.

Will buy a seperate pair of tires for next winter so these will be used for offroading, camping trips, driving in the mountains, and daily driving. I would like to keep it around 400 as i am a poor college student.

thanks in advance

My General Ameritrac were $280 mounted and balanced, ride good and a month later no problems yet. They aren't a really aggressive tread though.

So heres the deal. Friend borrows car, slides car into curb, pops 1 tire. I have wild country txr's on there right now, got them for 250 bucks basically brand new. Its going to cost 199+chipping for a new tire. But i wont have a warranty unlike if i would buying new tires.

So just ask him for the money and put it towards a new set of tires. You should be able to fit a 265/75/16 with no trouble
