Knocking Sound

Knocking Sound
Hey all, my truck makes a knocking sound that I can hear and feel in the front wheel area, but only when I turn VERY sharp. I'm sure someone knows exactly what this is. Doesn't sound like pads on the rotors really. It's a much louder knock. Cheers.

1986 Toyota Pickup - 4x4 - 5 Speed - 274k - Only makes the knock when turning VERY sharp. If I make a turn normally, no noise. It's just when I get to the point that I can't turn the steering wheel any more and I'm turning it just a bit harder that it makes the knocking noise. Other than that, no noise.

It's probably your steering stops. If that's the case the noise is normal and we just put up with it. You can grease them and they will quiet down for a bit until the grease smears away. Doing this is a good way to troubleshoot the issue ensuring it is or isn't something else.
