just need to use a dana 44 for a wagonner .. there must be a kit availible.. a locked front and rear ifs will do the same places a lifted and rear only locked sas yota will...
youll have to sas and double lock and it will be a stronger.. but id just buy a 85 or under trail rig for 500-1000 and your done..
your swap will cost a few of those!

What size tires are your redneck buddies running? If they're 35's or smaller, you're wasting your money on a SAS.
But it sounds like you're dead set on it, so check out the SAS sections on here and TTORA so you can waste as little money and time as possible.

You can fit 35's (315/75-16) on your rig no problem. IFS will have more ground clearance in the front, and obviously the same under the rear axle.
Unless you are hunting on Sledgehammer in Johnson Valley, your IFS will be fine.
You do know a SAS will be at least $3,000 for your rig, right? And that's if you can weld - if you have to contract out any of the labor, you get to $5,000+ in a hurry.
I have 2 '93 4Runners - one is IFS on 33's, the other is SAS on 35's. As close as you can get to a straight comparison. There is <1" difference in ground clearance between the axles between both of them. The IFS has a considerably lower COG and is WAY less tippy. I have run both on the same trails, and the "advantage" of a SFA is less than anyone on here would lead you to believe. Suspension mods have the lowest return on investment for offroad capability. Lockers, gears, tires, and armor will all do more to get you further down the trail than lift will.

I feel that I need more flex I always have found myself way more comfortable in my dads rig being able to keep wheels grounded more I think 33's will give me enough clearance but I would like to have more travel... I understand its very expensive I have the resources I have 3 Fab shops at my work...

Do you have lockers yet? Look at getting at least the rear locked, if you don't see snowy roads often, look at getting a from locker too. Locking the rear gave an honest ~75% increase in capability. I walk stuff now in 2wd rr locked that I used to struggle with in 4wd open/open.
The front can be tweaked a little to gain more flex. In stock form, the IFS doesn't flex well, but with ball joint spacers (ride height relaxed to stock height), sway bar disconnected it does pretty well. I'll be adding low-profile bump stops when I get the chance.
From a strength perspective, I don't think IFS is much weaker than stock solid axle.

Yeah I don't really wanna sell it but was looking for maybe for a trade for a already straight axle vehicle in good condition or even a second gen with a SA or truck or somthing just to make it easier the 3rd gen swap seems quite a bit more involved just trying to make it a little easier haha...

Note that buying a stock solid axle truck won't help you much for the terrain you're talking about. They flex the same or worse than a stock IFS and to fit 35's and have the steering survive, you'll have to cut it all off and redo it anyways. The axle will have to be moved forward so the tires don't get in the firewall and the steering will have to be completely replaced and changed over to highsteer.

does the op rig even have the elocker??
like im sure the e locked 3rd gen could just about spank a open/open stock solid front axle ALLLLL DAY LONG... and if you add a front arb or like my cheap self a aussie then you got capable truck.. all 4 wheels turning all the time..

Haha why does IFS make you cool is that sarcasm haha not to sure... no I don't have any lockers I understand I will have to mod the SA that's why im trying to find maybe a semi fixed one or second gen with a SAS that someone might want to trade or so it will be easier to do the swap on since I have to go with the D60 up front...

I have a someone who offered me to trade for a 74 fj40 350 MR GOODWRENCH 4 SPEED TOYOTA DRIVE TRAIN. But I think this is to old as it needs to be a DD as well or else id love to have a old FJ... yeah a locked IFS would be fun but it doesn't seem like it can compare to a locked SA...
