Help my Truck CLUNKS and I don't know why
93 4x4 truck CLUNKS! As I leave my parking space I cut the wheel hard and hit a small pothole in the dirt alley and CLUNK! every time, Front is tight, no play in the joints. My mechanic says it could be in the torsion bar but wants alot to check it out any one ever of this before? (not the steering stop)

Welcome to YotaTech!
...and welcome to the symptoms of the 2nd gen steering bumpstop grind.
If you do a search for "Steering Stop Grind", you will find a ton of threads on the issue.
Basically, from the factory Toyota put little plastic covers over the steering stops on each side of the front end. Over the years and miles, that plastic either wears down or simply pops off causing there to be metal-on-metal at full lock in either direction. With the wheel in full lock while going over a bump, that metal starts grinding and thus, the clunk/grind you are hearing/feeling.
All you need to do is get some grease and slap a dollop on each of the stops and you should be good to go. Another option is going to Toyota and buying the OEM plastic caps that go on the stops - they may just end up falling off like they did in the first place.
Either way, it is very common and a very easy fix.
