head swap

Hello folks, I'm going to replace the head on my 87 2wd pick up truck with a 22r motor that is carburated my buddy gave me 22re head and I was just wondering if I just do a swap and would everything on the 22r be compatible with the 22re cuz I want to keep it carburated. Hoping I can get an answer before I have the 22re machined. Thank you .

you can probably put 2 carbs that will stick up with the filter on top on the intake side of the 22re head and hook fuel lines up to them. i do not know the name and type of carb. it is but it runs from the intake ports and swings up with filters at the top.

i would like to know if a tacoma 2.7l head will fit on my 22re. id like to have the 16 valve performance head instead of the 8 valve standard head. the tacoma the 16 valve is standard but its 4 valves per cylinder to allow more air into the bores than just one. can you or anyone help with this info?

you'll need to transfer the mechanical fuel pump/parts to the 22r-e head, and if the exhaust ports are different, you might need different headders.

that's it. everything should be bolt-on.

i would tell you to search, but i know the info is very scattered
