Good or Bad? Adjusting the mass airflow sensor
My '88 runner V6 has a funky exhaust smell at all times. I replaced the fuel injectors with refurbished ones last year, the originals were full of sediment.
The screw on the mass airflow sensor that is under a metal protective guard was accesses and adjusted by the previous owner. I messed around with it, not realizing that I may have ef up the whole thing.
Any recos on how to adjust the screw ( which way increases fuel richness and which way reduces fuel mixture ?) short of replacing the thing.

LC Engineering has a tutorial... At least in their catalog. I'm sure there's one in the tech notes, though I haven't looked for it.
But w/o a cam or forced induction it's a moot point... and often times turns into some "Billy the Ricer needs a new AFM". (whoops, didn't see the last part of your post...imagine that...)
Most times ppl use a glue that gives off gasses as it dries and it creates pressure behind the cover and always pops it right back off. You have to use a special glue so that does not happen and allows the cover to seal.

I Have a mass air flow sensor on my 1992, even found the part at Auto Zone. May be it was made later in the year or something. thanks for your reply, it made me do a little more research. Later

Your truck does not have a mass air flow sensor on it, it has an AFM = Air Flow Meter, It is nothing like a mass air flow sensor. Do a search and you will understand the difference of each one and how they work.
