easiest way to lift a 1990 4runner 4x4?

Hey.
I just bought a 1990 4runner 4x4 v6. it had rear coils and shocks to lift it but they need to be installed. It also came with a track bar drop bracket?all of which the previous owner bought off craigslist, seems he was piecing the lift together. I was going to buy some ball joint spacers and shocks to complete the lift in the front. Just not sure how much coils will lift the truck. does anyone how i can find this out. maybe by measuring the coils. also, do I need anything else to lift the rig 2 inches. I'm not taking it offroading at all. Just want extra clearance when in Baja finding surf spots and for looks (I know..lame right). Id like some 33" tires.

I have a really good and very cheap mechanic in Mex and plan to have all this done there, just need to know what to tell him to do. Well thanks ...please help.

Meh, he's in newb tech so not too bad.Get the ball joint spacers and install the lift. When installing the spacers you can get the front dialed in to match the rear by adjusting the torsion bars. You can fit the 33's with a little trimming and pounding without lifting the 4runner but a little lift achieved via the coils and spacers ride and look nicer imo.

That's what I get for always clicking "new posts." Still try and search a little bit.
