33" tire lift clearance advice

I just bought a 86 4runner and was wondering what type and brand of lift is best for 33"tires,i always like to hit the trails and mud.i need something that is good for onroad also as it will be my DD.it is the 5spd 22re.It came with a tube bumper up front that fits but really needs a 2inch body lift to fit RIGHT.Idk if the 2inch bl would be good with a suspension lift too or just by itself?I Like having the lift as big as it gets before i have to sacrifice driveability and tearing stuff up.i have a budget of about 800 bucks for a lift kit. Also what are some good shock reccomendations if i just go with a body lift i have a busted shock i need to replace. thanks any info is appreciated.=)

This has been a little butchered but a 2 inch BL will fit 33s. or you could do BJ spacers and a BL. there are many threads on it.

This link has a ton of info on stuff you will need to know:

With 33" tires you are gonna want 4.88 gears.
Yes with stock gears and 33's your truck will seem gutless and get crappy mileage

I did the 4crawler 1.5" ball joint spacers and tightened torsion bars to get about 2" of lift in the front and lift springs/shackles to level it out in back and got plenty of room to clear 33's. The 2" body will work, just giving you options. My total cost was about $250 (cost depends greatly on which shocks you use) and it was a lot easier to install than a body lift, IMO.

I added a 4crawler 2" body lift on later and i love the way it sits now.

Everything you need to fit 33s for well under your budget, shocks too.

You don't need a 4" kit to clear 33's. Manufactures do this just to sell their kits. And that kit also has 4" blocks.
