Youll have to move the motor mounts, new tranny or bell housing/cross members/drive lines/electronics/exhaust
Would be easier with a carb set up.
Saw a bumper sticker somewhere that said "You cant bolt on experience"

with the Carb'd 350, it's a relatively easy swap.
but with a carb'd V8, comes BAD fuel mileage, a carb'd V8 in a yota MIGHT get 13-15mpg if you're PROPERLY tuned.
now through in a Vortec 5.3L V8 (327CI) now you're lookin at a lil under 300hp (maybe a lil over??) and the possibility of 20mpg or better (with the proper tune on the ECU)
will anything "bolt in", answer is....YES...the 3.4L V6 from the 95.5< toyota's will bolt in...but most everything else is different.
other than that, nothing will "bolt in"
theres a whole slough of motors that will fit though

It'll get bad MPG either way...
Toyota' motors aren't low down sleepy motors big Merican V8's are, so, you need gears...
1,500 at 70mph with a Toyota, AINT gonna happen...
I'd be scared of a big Merican V8 with 4:11's and big 33" plus tires...
Torque's gonna find a weak way out. Be it shredding tranny gears, or breaking diff gears.
3.4 or 350, nobody's ever got MORE POWER and not used it
