i wud agree with that 91 toyota..the 22re does better in pretty much every aspect besides the handfull of more power/torqure that the 3vze has

or you can swap/buy the 3.4. reliability of the 22re and the power of the v6 in one

only thing i do NOT like about the 3.0

MPG's...i've heard power of a small V6, thirst of a V8.

when mine gets running though, i'm going to be on the quest for getting 20mpg's or better out of it (highway mpg's)!!!

gonna be running 285x75's with aluminum rims, although the tires are heavy load range E's. it's got 4.56 gears..thinkin about 4.88's or 5.29's..i'll be going 35's in the future..if i regear it'll be 5.29's...i've heard going from 4.88's from 4.56's is pretty much not worth it.

it's also getting bumpers front and rear..(either badland basher tube front, or custom , and a marlin rear), smittybuilt XRC10 on the front with synthetic line,

other than those things, it will likely have a snorkel, some kragen HID's on the front, rear 100w reverse lights, Optima red top (i believe...lol), two Alpine Type R 12's in a ported box, 1800w amp.

i'm wanting to do dual batteries, but i doubt i will, but a high power alt. WILL happen

sorry for the long post..just showing what my 4runner will have on it when i try to achieve my 20mpg's...i know it's probably not going to be easy...well fact is..it WON'T be easy.

i want to make as many of the mods i can compatible with the 3.4L 5vz as well, because one of those will be getting swapped in within a few years.

the ONLY reason i rebuilt the 3.0...was because it WAS SUPPOSED TO BE quick, and cheap....well for the money i've spent, i could have swapped a 3.4.....

but i've learned a lot about my 3.0, so i feel it's worth it in a way.

5.29's would be overkill for 33's camo

but not with the 35's i plan to go with

i shoulda mentioned that, lol i'll edit the post.

just to let you know though, in YOUR situation (33x13.50's, V6, Auto) 5.29's would be pretty great for ya.

haha ya man no doubt. my swampers weigh more than most 35s and i still have what i consider decent power. like i still can go 70-80. prolly faster if i push it but my mpg sucks. but im off to pick my truck up from the shop just had straights put on. lol

i can assure you, you won't be thinking the same way when your 19-22 lol

i used to want to be as loud as i can Legally, now i'm wanting a good rumble, but i also want to be able to have a normal voice level conversation inside the cab, whether the windows are down or not lol...i'm talking INSIDE voice..lol

lmao you're such a hater... me and 93yotaSR5 both wheel a 3vz... we've been to kyburz together 2 times ( 3 times this weekend ) and we've never had engine problems. even when we get into that high altitude, it idles smooth.

besides what're you talking about? your 22re has had more problems than my 3vz ( of course different mileage ) but you wanted to sell it because you hated how underpowered it is... lol hypocrit
