Question 20R Valves... Adjustment

OKKKK, so I am going to replace the valve cover gasket within the next few days and well the cover is going to be off, might as well check/do up the valves. But I never really messed with valves before.
20R head on a 22R Block, 86 4x4 Doggo-matic. What clearances should I have to get a little more top end out if it, if that's even possible, it has alot of tourque, and well isnt that slow off the line. But on the highway it struggles to keep up at 65-70, with traffic. It has 31's on it, and i think stock gearing but im not too sure, and I just did a tune up with wires, plugs, fuel filters, cleaned the carb out... SO back to the vales. Is there a good web-sight that i can go to that will walk me though the valves and such?
Thanks Fellow Yota Fans!
LOL
Mike

Get either a factory service manual or a Haynes or Chiltons, it will describe the proceedure. Not sure if the valve clearances are the same on 20R's as 22R's, but I think so. I don't have the numbers with me right now...manual is at home. Not sure you'll get any more high end power out of it unless they're way out of adjustment now, in which case you'd be hearing them.
