Years ago I had a POS '77 Toyota Corona station wagon. One day I was rolling up the driver's window and it bound up. I gave the crank a bit more umph and the window shattered.
Over the next few weeks I battled with all kinds of *cheap* option, including far too much plastic and duct tape. Even bought a used window at a local scrap yard only to get it home, attempt installation, and conclude it was not the right piece.
I did all that because I *knew* the dealer would be expensive. Finally I caved and called the dealer. Within a couple days I had a brand-new window glass for less than $35.

That's interesting. I will call the stealership. Doubting that one though. I found it local for $99. I think that is a little high. I'm looking for a cheap piece of glass. I am gonna strip and tint whatever is on it so don't worry about that. Perhaps someone could direct me to a place near Austin I don't already know about?
