coolant leak

Hello,
I have a coolant leak above the water pump housing as pictured. I can see it start seeping up from the top of the timing belt cover after driving it cools down. I lose about a quart of coolant every couple weeks.

I had the timing belt and water pump replaced about a year ago, and had the o-ring replaced in thermostat housing about 2 months ago as I was searching for the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas here about where this leak is coming from?

thanks in advance

Is it a 4.0L V6. Is it leaking from the water pump flange or from above it leaking down onto the flange, if its above it,.. it may be 1 of your heads or a frost plug, but my bet is on the water pump to block flange. I'm not sure where you took your truck to get the water pump and timing belt done since the v6 doesn't have a timing belt,.. I would be suspicious if the water pump was done right.

I didn't know this was the Tundra 4.7L section, thought this was all about 03+ 4Runner/GX470, & 05+ Tacomas 4th gen 4Runners & 5th gen trucks, but the same questions remain, and the same response would be "I would be suspicious if the water pump was done right." so I would return the vehicle to the shop that did the work originally. It looks like a picture of a leaky water pump flange.

Toyota used to put the 4.7L v8 in the 4runner, Sorry, I thought that was pretty common knowledge, it was available in 2004.

I should have guessed it was the 4.7L when you mentioned timing belt, sorry,.. it is pretty common knowledge like a leak at the flange of your water pump. Good luck changing your timing belt again.
