04 4runner with 3/2 lift needs tires.....
Hello,
It's time for new tires for my 4runner. I have a 3/2 lift that I recently installed and still have the stock tires. I can't decide what kind of tires to get. I think some input would help. Here is what I want:
-I mainly drive on the road so I don't want an agressive tire.
-I live in Hawaii right now but someday I will be living where it snows so I want a tire that does well in the snow.
-I can't decide between a 275/70-17 or 265/70-17. How much will gas mileage/power be affected between the 2 sizes?
Does anyone know how the 265/70 nitto dura grapplers perform? Or how loud are the terra grapplers on the highway?
I have also been looking at the Goodyear wrangler Silent armors in either 275/70 or 265/70 - Anyone know how those do?
Last, costco has the 265/70 A/T and radial michellins. Any word on how those perform?
Thank you for the help!

Not sure about the nito's or other tires but I have heard or read somewhere that the goodyear's aren't to bad. But, I have never had them on any of my rigs so I can't really say. However, I have had my mickey thompson baja atz tires in 265/70r17 for about two years now and I have to say they are very nice tires. Great traction in the snow. Quiet on the road and wear excellent. I don't have a good pic of them otherwise I would post it. Good luck with your choice though. I do lots of on the road driving and highway driving.

I am running with 255/75/17 BFG MT's and they work well. Of course I would love to have bigger tires like my old 2nd Gen but for the way I use this for longer trips to events these work well. I am running Donohoes all around and these look ok.

Everyone is going to have an opinion on what tires to run... Do a poll or narrow down which ones your most interested in and you'll likely get some better info. And just to clarify what is a 3/2 lift??
