Would like to see your 4runner

I would like to see how the third light is mounted on the top of a second gen 4runner and where the wires are routed through the roof. If anybody in reno, nv would let me take a look I'd appreciate it, or some pictures might also help.

I've got a third light just sitting around and the truck is already wired from the factory. Any help would be appreciated.

go to the forum you want to post in and at the top left side above the "Threads in Forum" heading there's a button that says "new thread". Thats what you're looking for.

Okay, at the top, right under the pictures of trucks, click on "yotatech forums" then click forums available, what section you want to post it in (the year of your truck), then new thread.

there are 3 holes. 2 of them are for the bolts, and one is for the wiring. You pop off that cover inside above the back window. It seems fairly straightforward. Maybe you could splice into a tail light brake light to keep things simple.

The factory connector is there and already has 12 volts with the brakes applied and the 3rd light has the matching male connector.

Its the location of the three holes that I'd like to get a look at. I didn't find any indication of where they would be on my 4runner, so I'm hoping that seeing one that is installed will show me where it needs to be. Even just a picture showing the two bolts and a bit of the surrounding area, such as in relation to the wiper motor would help.

The panel with the cargo light just pops off. Pretty easy with a medium size flathead screwdriver or one of those fancy trim remover pry bars.

AND, if you want a deflector with the special "dent" for the hight-stop light, used on the 94-95 models, I have one that I can't use. :-)

Well, since you already have the power set up, sounds like you just need accurite measurements on where to drill the holes then. I'd pop my cover off, and show you, but mine is a PITA. I just know there are 3 holes, two small ones for the bolts, and one larger one for the wiring. I ran my XM antenna through there.
