Windshield wiper arm replacement

Anyone ever replace the windshield wiper arms on their rigs with a newer arm assembly? Ive seen guys cut and weld the ends onto their current arms, but id rather just do a straight swap. tried searching and, well, every reference to wiper comes back to knuckle ball wipers. Hahaha.

Just take the old ones off put the newer style ones on

My mid eighties vehicles all all the new wiper arms from @2000

So much easier to replace wiper blades

LOL!
Bring both your old wiper arms to the junkyard so you can compare length and fit on splined part of the drive shaft?
