What is the best width to go with on a custom front housing?
So basically my friend is starting his sas (Yak-Bandit) his account isnt letting him post threads so I said I'd post it up. He is goin to be buying the housing for his sas first starting on Thursday. The first being a Ruff Stuff Specialties front housing with their truss, armor, and inspection port. Now he is going to be going over sized width wise and sticking with a 8¨ 3rd member. Orginally he was thinking of going 6¨ wider on the short side than ifs giving him 3¨ wider on both sides. Now does anyone no of any cons to this? This is going to be a nice build overall everypart is going to be new and overkill lol. His goal is to make it pretty much bomb proof front and rear housing?
Oh and I guess I should mention that his truck isnt a dd. All it needs to do is get to the trail and back home. All trails will be tight gnarly and technical. All wheeling will be done in the pacific northwest. Truck is a 1990 single cab short box. He will be runnin 37¨x13.5¨ bias pitbull rockers. On either a 4¨ or 5¨ sas.
Thanks in advance.
