Did Toyota make this weird extended cab for 2nd gens??

yes they did, a friend of mine has a toyota junkyard, strictly toyota and has several of them, and there sure as heck not worth 5k with engine problems if your considering it

Not considering it just wondering everything here in WA that has Toyota on it is over priced trust me I will always post here before I buy a toyota so I can shoot them the offer I think is good

A gut here at the SIA auto plant in Lafayette Indiana had one and I saw it all the time and one day driving on S.R. 26 I was driving by Kygers auto junk yard it was sitting in there lot broke in half, it was so sad, midwest rust killed it!!!!

They are cool looking. My wife just saw the pics and said it was ugly. I think it would be cool to have one. Do a SAS with 35s and a good rebuilt 22re or even a TDI swap, be great of hunting and camping

i dont think toyota ever made them, i have heard of aftermarket companys that adds the extra cab which includes cutting and extending the frame
looks cool but i rather have a 4runner lol even more interior space without the horrible wheelbase

The price for that thing is on the lower end of the avg. price for one. It is hard to touch one for less then 5K. they are very popular and my bro has one in much worse condition then you see there on that listing. My brother paid $3500 for his.

Looks like a van conversion. Something that was done to a stock truck by a US company.
I knew a kid back in '86 who got a new regular cab short bed mini that had a conversion to make it kinda like a 4Runner. The build quality was awful. I still remember this long bolt or all-thread with like 30 washers on it--I have no idea what was for but even as a kid I thought, "Why not just use the right size bolt?"
