Toyota Paint Suppliers
Is the factory paint strictly provided from Toyota? Or can you cross reference the colors at the local PPG dealer? I am going to have to repaint the hood and roof on a 4runner since it has been very burned by the sun, and want to match the rest of the rig. It is the "Garnent Red" that toyota used.
Thanks

Any paint store that deserves to be in business can either pull it off the shelf, or mix it for you (most likely). Be prepared for some paint sticker-shock!
Just get your color code from your door jamb (assuming that's the color you want), and they pull up a 'conversion' formula for it. Good shops have it automated- they tell it the factory code, it converts it to their #, etc- then automatically puts the amounts of each base, tint & whatnot in there.
