yes i know i am very lucky to lucky but i did swap a toyota hiace van for it because my mumy needed it for her child care and i made a deal that if i gave her the van that she would get me the truck so i got the truck...can you get manual locking hubs for a ifs for surf/4runner? because i have found out that the auto hubs only work going fawards and that u have to go about 6 feet faward to get them to lock in again... is a stock surf/4runner lsd diff good for wheeling... and i also need to know what are some of the things you need to go wheeling like safty and things? thanks guys

You can swap the hubs. Run a search on "manual hub swap or conversion". Play with the keywords until you get the right info. It's all been covered on how it's done plus links for further info and parts (WabFab).

For safety, I'm pretty sure there is a forum here that goes into that. Look on the mainpage.

If you're looking for an economical lift that will look good, and you can wheel with, then I have the solution: Get some good long rear springs, that should lift about 5 inches, crank up your torsion bars to the breaking point, the swap in a Solid Front Axle. Now you have style, and function. Can't go wrong there.

ok heres my understanding. SA is perfect for anything but racing. IFS does great with everything except extreme rock crawling. if you have IFS, i wouldnt reccomend swapping in a SA unless you plan to hit some pretty serious rocks. now ive been hearing about wheel spacers.... are they any good?
