Stripped driveshaft flange studs!?!?..

If you read the entire thread what caused all the confusion and wasted so much time for everyone was the fact the OP never gave info on their vehicle. And by info I mean the production date, along with the VIN and/or model number. Otherwise it's just a bunch of guessing.

I'd get them from the dealer. That way you know they've been treated for exterior use, compatible metal, etc. Plus, you need something hard enough that can handle being torqued down to 50+ ft/lbs. I just don't see any hardware store having something like that. Automotive grade nuts and bolts are just...better.

going through this fiasco in my mothers 2001 100 series land cruiser. The thread pitch for the studs is 11x1.0, not something you'll find at a hardware store. I only need to replace the studs in my rear flange which has holes approximately 11.75mm, however my old studs were spinning. the studs I ordered from Toyota (90114-10061) were incorrect as the knurled section is 10mm and the nuts don't fit.. im thinking the stud size is different for the front prop shaft. the original studs I knocked out were 12mm around the knurled section even after they'd spun. will update when I find the correct part number for these studs (rear output flange). -_-

Correct stud part number
Part number 90114-11124 is the correct number for the rear studs in the output flange of the transfer case in a 100 series. I also saw a post recently about getting the dust shield off behind the studs. One guy went so far as to order a whole new flange assembly with studs and dust shield installed because he didn’t want to mess up the shield removing it. I heated mine with a blow torch for maybe 30 seconds and it
fell off. No issues there.
