Hey guys I have a 1986 pickup 5 speed four wheel drive. A few days ago I was drivin around and found a new noise! When I pushed the clutch all the way to the floor it would make a grinding/slipping noise. If I didn't push it all the way to the floor it wouldn't make the noise and I could shift just fine. Got it home parked it and went to start it three days later and now it's grinding/slipping (maybe the starter?) motor not turning now when I turn the key. At the end of the cycle it clunks or tries to engage. So has anyone else had the same issue? Sounds like my starter Needs replaced but would that be what caused the grinding/slipping noise when it was driving with the clutch to the floor? Thanks guys
