sound system on 89 toyota pickup
I recently restored my grandmother's 89 toyota pickup and I quickly noticed there was no radio or antenna to begin with. So I told myself I'd deal with the sound system when i get to it. I got to it and started researching and haven't had luck yet on what's the best way to go about it. There's space for a radio and what I believe to be places for speakers. I've been going back and forth between just getting a portable speaker I can just throw in the truck, or biting the bullet and getting speakers antenna and a radio. Any advice on which path I should take?
Also the interior cab light shell disintegrated any idea where do get a new one? (I've looked everywhere)

Get speakers and a radio. Wiring it is simple. I’d skip the antenna. You can get a $40 Bluetooth radio from Amazon and some cheap speakers from Walmart, buy some 18/2 speaker cable, and do it all yourself in an afternoon.

I prefer Alpine all around that's just my taste. From the deck, speakers, and subwoofers. If you're just looking for speakers Skar audio and JL audio are really good alternatives. I run a nice single din deck with big face spectrum EQ for that echo effect. Us yota drivers in hawaii love quality audio when playing music lol. Let me know if you have more questions or specific suggestions. Simply wiring in a deck and speakers is super easy... nowadays you can even buy harnesses that directly connect the truck to the new decks
