Shifter Extension

Does anyone have any experience with altering shifters due to body lift? Im not usually a big fan of body lift but I just bought this 93 single cab with a pro comp suspension lift and what looks like 3 inches of body lift.

The 5-speed shifter works alright but my transfer case shifter is the problem. The guy cut the boot so that you can get it down in 4-hi but I cant get it over into 4-lo. Any suggestions?

You're either going to have to extend and possibly put a bend in the shifter, or clearance the floor a bit. Clearancing the floor might be easier.

With a 2" body lift, the PO of my truck had to notch the metal trim ring that holds down the rubber boot.
