if anybody is wondering why the e-codes are not DOT approved, it is because DOT requires a certain amount of light to be thrown up wards to illuminate road signs (glare), the e-codes have a sharp cutoff with very little light bleed above it (more light on the ground, able to run higher wattage bulbs without bothering other drivers) thats the only reason, stupid DOT

i got some ebay ones. they 29 shipped. came with blue bulbs installed. no wiring to do. much brighter. ill put real silverstars in when the jap bulbs burn out. but im okay with them until then. they also have a 194 "city light" in the center bottom. im going to put a different color in there when i wire them up to a rocker switch. probably purple or green. for day use or off streets at night. just because.

Two versions of the Hellas: US and Euro. The Euro version is not DOT approved due to the lack of aiming nipples on the reflector.

100% true. . .I just put a set in this past Friday night. They have a very flat or sharp beam of light, much like a projector type beam. I purchased mine from rallylights (fast shipping good experience)
Here is a link from there site explaining the difference between the two types.

This my first post here, I have been lurking for a while absorbing all kinds of great info (thank you)!

ebay, like 25 shipped for plastics w/ H4's or like 35 for glass with H4's. went with the plastics, they look great! I wouldn't go back to the other lens ever. clear lenses look so much better.

I have the old style glass roundeyes and I love them...

100% improvement over stock.... and thats without the upgraded harness from roger or upgraded bulbs.

I dont like the look of lots of lights on my truck. I wanted to utilize the stock headlights for more light off road

I have the older glass roundeyes as well.

And I installed a HID conversion into the roundeye housings, very happy with the kit. Though the pattern is not as clean, and I was still aiming my lights when I took this picture.

It was a true bi-xenon kit from Camnub, he had a group buy on the board a few months back. I think most of the kits you see on ebay and online are pretty much the same though. I think the they were 6000k bulbs? I would have preferred 4500k, but that wasn't a option for the bi-xenon kits.
