Recall on a 94 toyota 4x4?
I have a 94 toyota pu 4x4 and I know theres a recall on the steering some where, what part is toyota recalling, do I just go to a toyota dealer ship and get it for free from the parts department? Is this recall that serious , how can I tell if the part is fractered or broken, I know its a lot of questions, but any advice on this topic would help. Thanks.

The dealer chaned my drag link for free, also. I was not as lucky and did not get a free wash out of the deal. Received the free alignment though. It took about an hour for the whole ordeal.

I took my brothers tundra into Valley-Hi for the lower BJ replacement and it was done about later that day, with an alignment. They are a good dealership (I'm assuming your in victorville).
I just bought a 4x4 IFS P/S box to upgrade up my 2WD man. steering, it doesn't seem like its part of the recall, phew.
Good luck with the recall.

Before you get all excited, you really should read the entire thread above and see how many people got screwed by the dealers...
I haven't even taken mine in yet because I don't take it in the ass very well these days, and my local dealer is a crook...

I wouldn't expect alot of free stuff like others are getting. My tie-rods need to be replaced, so I'll do that before I take mine in, that way I get a free alignment, but I'll also be letting them know that I just want the drag link fixed and the alignment, nothing else. If there's any thing that needs to be done, just make a list and I'll address those issues later.

I'm suprised no one has mentioned this to him yet. ...........
You need to call the dealership and give them your VIN, if your vehicle is on the recall list THEN its free. If it was not effected then you don't have a problem and therefore no trip to dealership is needed.
Mine was and yes they replaced the parts for free, no wash here either. Just a quote for $900 to replace P/S pump. I did it for $50.

I had mine done today and I'll pick it up tomorow. The way I understand it is that they have to do the alignment since the part that they are replacing helps keep it aligned. I get the free wash too.
