Right now, it's not so much the cost, as it is the time. I'm sure I can dig up a cluster locally, didn't know if anyone had an old one hanging around. I really only need the back of it and the clear lens.

I would need to make a prototype, not really for anyone in particular to start. After that, I might be able to churn a couple out. It's already on my list of things to do.

Those are also touchscreens. Can you imagine the amount of work that took to interface with the heater controls, plus every other conceivable option he has available at his fingertips?
I'm tossing around the idea of a carputer for next year. A buddy has one and the amount of stuff he can do with it is awesome.
