Yeah defianetly mark the wiring harness. I just used a sharpie and labeled the conectors and the associated plugs with numbers and that worked out great. Definately pay attention to how the harness gets snaked in thru the lower plenum and that area. Once that's out of the way its a cake walk!!! I had a lot of fun doin mine! I got some pics on my gallery if you wanna looksey!

oh yeah, I'm going through it very carefully. I know the harness you speak of through the plentum, lol. I removed the intake not long after I got the truck to clean out all the black gunk in there, and that pissed me off that I had to go as far as unplugging the harness from the trans and what-not just to remove the lower manifold

but I'm definately going to have to label everything good, cause it's gunna be apart for at least 2 weeks, maybe more, cause I'm going the whole 9 yards and scrubbing down and repainting the engine bay (with undercoating, not paint ), dropping the trans to replace the rear seal on the t-case cause it's leaking too, and I'm also going to clean it up a little too, cause it's got mud and clay and all kinds of crap caked on it, which I'm sure isn't helping to keep it cool, lol

I can't wait, I'm so excited and I just can't hide it...

Bleeder.........you're going to have a lot of fun rebuilding. It's such an accomplishment. And, it's just a fun motor to rebuild. Easy peasy. I'll help when I can, if you need it.

I dont see how that applies here. That truck is going to feel brand new with a rebuilt engine in it. Especially if he replaces the clutch and the shifter seats.

Bleeder that is a clean truck man. It makes me sure I want to take the factory decals off of the sides of mine. I have a white reg cab too. If you are anything like me you probably wont sleep too well tonight in excitement for tomorrow.
