o2 sensor
need help. tried seach, but no luck
got a new o2 sensor, but the wires are different colour then the one on the truck
new sensor: 2 black, 1 blue 1 white
old sensor: 2 white, 1 gray , 1 black.
would it be safe to assume the 2 black are for the heater ,white is ground and blue is the signal for the ecm?

Is it for the truck and does it plug in to the plug? If yes, run it.
If no, are you getting something off ebay and splicing it in or some such thing? In which case you'll have to look up the schema and map it correctly when you spice the wires.

Trevor - you can probably find the wiring information on that 02 senor if you dig on the internet. A part number would help. No instructions with it?
I wouldn't assume with that thing - but if I had to guess, I'd guess that the back wires were sensor and pre-heat grounds. Plugging it in wrong could cause a signficant problem and fry a hard to find fuse... so be careful. I think the 02 pre-heat is powered by the ignition relay, if I recall correctly.
